Mapula Lodge is situated in a remote North Eastern area of the Okavango Delta, and outside the Moremi Game Reserve. Accommodating no more than 20 guests, the Lodge has well appointed luxury Chalets, with en-suite bathrooms (bath and shower).
The chalets all overlook a lagoon in front of the Lodge. The attention to detail and use of local craftsmanship in the construction of the Chalets is particularly impressive and attractive. Additional facilities for guests include a small swimming pool and sun deck, and a well stocked bar.
All the activities at Mapula Lodge allow guests to experience the beauty and diversity of Africa, and you have the added advantage of being able to able to enjoy game walks, and night drives (not available at lodges situated within National Parks), along with morning and afternoon drives, or mokoro excursions. Game viewing is particularly good in this area. A pod of Hippo livesin the lagoon opposite the lodge – adding their vocal talents to the noises of the bush, and trees around the Lodge abound with an excellent variety of bird species.

Being in a permanent water area, Mapula Lodge can generally offer year round water activities, especially important during the months of January to May when water levels in the Okavango can become too low in some areas, to allow the use of the traditional dug-out mokoro.
